in the world, from the south west side of the peninsular lies the Purbeck

an interesting history dating back to the thirteenth century. Many prime
examples of historical architecture remain in Poole Old Town and surrounding
areas as well as outlying districts.
Suburban Poole had a slower development process, most unpopulated at the turn
of century it enjoyed a mini renaissance during the interwar resulting in many
prime examples of Lutyens influenced arts and crafts movement characteristics,
significant development occurred during the 1960s and 1970.
The
area as whole should be celebrated more for its variable architecture rather
than any form of collective consistency. Environmentally Poole has significant
attributes including the coastline and arboriculture assets. Poole Borough
Council asserts the borough is a beautiful place and we agree. The last
10 years has seen some of the most significant increases in land values
in the world in areas such as the Sandbanks Peninsular where per square
foot built values are on a par to that of New York, Tokyo and the city
of London.
Poole
is renounced internationally for its historical pottery making industry,
Sunseeker Boats Manufacture and a significant port service to the Channel
Islands and Northern France.
